The WIPO Academy IP eLearning Program is pleased to announce nine (9) new eLearning courses, developed to enhance your knowledge and skills in the relevant subject areas. Six (6) courses form a new IP for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) series, connecting legal and management principles with the practical realities of specific industries and sectors. The remaining three (3) explore how IP principles inform professional decisions in patent analytics, software licensing and open-source models, and IP enforcement. These courses are open to the public for the first time.
Inaugural session: special enrollment arrangements • No scholarship nomination is required, as the fees are waived for this session. • TISC staff are not limited to two courses during this session. |
- Candidates must complete every course for which they register.
- The registration deadline is October 18, 2026. As places are limited and priority will be given to TISCs, TISC staff are strongly encouraged to register as early as possible.
- Each TISC candidate must enroll online through the “WIPO eLearning Center” at https://welc.wipo.int/.
- First-time enrollees will be prompted to create a WIPO user account before enrolling. Returning enrollees should enter their password or reset it if they cannot recall it.
- IMPORTANT: Candidates should select “TISC” as their “Professional/Business Area” under the Occupation section, within their personal profile so that your office’s participation can be recorded.
Encouraging enrollment of your staff
This session marks the inauguration of these nine new courses and we encourage TISC offices to enroll staff members who may be interested in any of these topics. Please refer to the attached list of courses.
Please be aware that, in the next iteration of some of these courses, enrollment of TISC staff will require nomination by the TISC authority. Enrolling your staff during this session allows them to take part before that requirement applies.
